The Evolution of dUBSKA's Sound
dUBSKA was the culmination of Special Brew music mixed with the personal inspirations of it's creator: Simon Gavin .
Key Milestones in Their Musical Journey
1987 Mark and Simon form the longest running Ska band in Western Australia: Special Brew.
1990 Special Brew "Live" is produced
1991 Ska Lager Cassette is produced.
1993 Ska against Racism compilation song No. 1 Cut is released
1998 Bass Player Zaine and Simon form the West Australian band dUBSKA and begin working on a soundtrack to a Screenplay entitled "Fremantle Underbelly".
1999 Filming begins on Fremantle Underbelly.
2000 Parts 1, Parts 2 and Parts 3 are edited and released to the world.
2001 Debut Album: dUBSKA's first album Out on Parole featured 15 songs of 4-Track recordings originally recorded in 1997 are released.
2025 First album produced by Solo artist dUBSKA is released called Out on Bail

Not affiliated with Polish Dubska
Some confusion exists (Within Y/Tube distributors) with this band and the Polish band of the same name. They have a capitol "D" whereas the Australian dUBSKA has a lower case "d" and was formed two years earlier in Perth, Western Australia. The Polish band started two years later in 1999 and have no connection whatsoever with this group. Our music link on Youtube Music is here.
We are NOT affiliated or in any way the Polish band Dubska who is a well-known Polish reggae, ska, and dub band formed in 1999 in Bydgoszcz.
